    The Artificial stone texture

To decorate the basement, or give a cottage look to remind the Loire Valley, is not that complicated. With the company’s artificial stone module can cover wall with prefabricated elements with great accuracy that mimic natural stone.

The manufacturing process of these stones is quite traditional, hence its high quality, are made with crushed stone and mineral pigments. The stones are selected from the French countryside in those taken later in his footsteps, with a molding process which is the biggest secret of the company. The dye applied haphazardly, to his final appearance look as natural as possible. Module managers are convinced is the texture and color that sets them apart from competitors, their products are also unchanged over time.

Modulo is a French company that has over 30 years of operating and developing technology for the manufacture of decorative coatings for both exterior and interior. It has since been growing and is probably the largest manufacturer of decorative stone in Europe. From an article in www.materialsandsources.com

    Columns to the roof storage

There are times when we buy a house and we find that has a column in the room in which we had not fixed enough to bother us the furnishing, a column in the middle of a very complicated things stay because conditions greatly the distribution of furniture, however if I place column and move on a whim, can be even decorative.

Maybe in my house and no column that when I see other houses many times I like, I guess I have not had to face it and furnishing it costs me more to see its drawbacks, though many people I have spoken of them, the issue is that the image does not give problems, but solve them, not a column but a fictitious construction for storage timber that hangs from the ceiling in the place who likes it and that its base has a marble pedestal. Solutions for youth with small space bedroom

The budget that we have to buy a home, sometimes does not allow us to buy our dream house, often the rooms are not as great as we would like, especially children’s bedrooms, which have a number of square meters insufficient for the activity that young people should develop there.

We have already said several times that a teen’s room should have three rooms, the rest corresponding to the area of the bed, study desk and comfortable chair and leisure space with bean bags or floor cushions decorated to your taste for leisure, the idea is a bit utopian, but there is furniture that can help us to combine the three functions in a  small space.

For example this Mariani Desktop Plus you see under the bed when not in use and will be drawn forward and rises when we make use of it, is not the same as having separate rooms, but at least offers comfort, a large table and it seems comfortable, there are other furniture with the same signature wit to solve problems similar space.

    Windows treatment and decoration

Curtains, drapes, blinds, shades, sheers, shutters can produce a clean, neutral backdrop or provide a full-dressed flourish. In either case, the way you choose to treat your windows lends rhythm to a room, adding pattern and color, light and shadow. As with the pleats and folds of a beautifully draped garment, you can tailor almost any kind of dressing to your windows, to stand out on its own or to reinforce the room’s style.

Window treatments help to define the decor of a room. They are a visual filter between indoors and out. Create a shelter with a soft wall of texture and color or let light come streaming in. Read the rest of this entry »

    How to manage your storage

Consider the important difference between storage and clutter. Storage is neat, tidy, clean and accessible. Items being stored should be classified as being valuable, useful or treasured.

If you don’t love something, or need it, then it has to be re-defined as clutter. Clutter includes the things which you are not using; the unwanted gifts you feel obliged to display, useful objects which have not got a specific home and are in the wrong place. All your storage places, such as overflowing Read the rest of this entry »

Tips to dealing a general contractor

Dealing with general contractors can be easy if you found a reliable contractor.

    • When you plan to renovate your house, you have to know whom you are dealing with, always ask for references and try to see the complete work of the general contractor you have selected.
    • People that are happy with their general contractor generally don’t mind showing his work, they have probably the same courtesy extended on them. Read the rest of this entry »

    Color Your Home

Orange is a very hot and volatile color, which evokes vastly different responses around the world. In the Netherlands, Orange summons a national pride; in Asia it is a holy color used only for Buddhist monks robes; and in the US our immediate reaction is Halloween! Only recently has this brighter, more spectral aspect of the Orange family been more openly received in America. Previously only Spice tones of Cinnabar, Allspice, Paprika and Terracotta were marketable consumer colors.

Fortunately, the influx of bright acidic tones of lime green and lemon yellow in apparel, recreational gear, autos and electronics naturally brought along Tangerine; and Orange then was accepted more readily. Variations of Orange Read the rest of this entry »

    Displaying Objects

You can have everything, in your home you ever dreamed of, but if you don’t take the time to display the objects within it with care and consideration, it will never look right.

    • Start by clearing every surface-mantel, walls and tablestops. Now start again and try to avoid repeating the same arrangements you had previously.

    • Avoid too much symmetry. It is balance, you should be striving for when it comes to display. Think of the rooms as a canvas on which you are trying to create the perfect still life. Read the rest of this entry »

Trees of synthesis, from coast to coast

Taking a tour across the country looking for a tree to celebrate the Christmas holiday. Wound up making several glorious stops. Found Artificial Christmas Tree, which I thought you know, real balsam trees couldn't support much weight, but these trees are beautiful. From the coast of California to the Rockies, we travel beyond to Smoky Mountains and finally wind up in Vermont. I learned other detours were possible, including Alaska, the Adirondacks and the Berkshires, but everywhere you go, you find their trees.

Many sizes available, ranging from Christmas elf-height to something more approaching Yuletide giant. Too, a special shape for skyscraper-dwellers who need to slice their trees footprint without performing grotesque surgeries. We have seen many unusual designs, but I do not remember seeing a topiary tree for the season before. We do not expect innovation for something so traditional, but it will seem uniquely right for some...and the needles are a work of craftsmanship, even those with piney ridges and all the trimmings (but no turkeys here, instead wreaths, garlands, skirts, ornaments, and of course, lights lights lights....)
