Carbon Monoxide Meter to Detect and Measure the Presence of Carbon Monoxide
Carbon monoxide that also mentioned as carbonous oxide is one of the gases that appear on the atmosphere. Like most of the gases, carbon monoxide is colorless. It is also odorless and tasteless gas that can be dangerous for human and animals whenever the gas inhaled in large amount and higher than normal concentration in atmosphere. Carbon monoxide is one of the gases that produced by human and animal respiration as well as produced by internal combustion engine. As an excess production of engines for vehicles and industrial machinery, carbon monoxide is one of the pollutants in the air. Carbon monoxide also produced by incomplete burning of wood, coal, charcoal and other materials based in carbons.
Carbon monoxide can be poisonous and lethal; there have been cases of death caused by carbon monoxide poisoning. The poisonous effect of carbon monoxide will affect the hemoglobin in the blood and convert hemoglobin to carboxyhemoglobin which unable to contain and transport oxygen in the blood to the whole body. Headache, extreme vomiting and dizzy feeling usually appear as the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. Due to its nature as colorless, tasteless and odorless gas, the presence of carbon monoxide is quite hard to detect. The use of carbon monoxide meter can be used to detect and measure the presence of carbon monoxide in the air. The air monitor sensor can be a useful device to check and observe the amount of gases in the atmosphere. Gas monitors are important device in industrial fields and also important for anyone who worked closely related with the gases especially dangerous gases like carbon monoxide. Most of the gas analyzer is used in to analyze and observe the combustion engines. Early detection in exceeded amount of dangerous gases can be very important for safety and to prevent any victim due to earlier detection and fast response to the situation.
